Special Guests
Gareth McLearnon, who is a Wm. S. Haynes artist for many years, is an internationally renowned, award-winning flute soloist, orchestral and recording artist, educator, prolific composer and arranger. He has given hundreds of masterclasses at some of the world’s top conservatories, music universities, flute courses and international festivals. His original works and arrangements for flute and piano and flute ensemble are regularly performed all over the world.
Miyazawa Flutes artist Sibel Pensel is professor at the Conservatory of Nice and the University Côte d’Azur and gives masterclasses and concerts all over the world. She participates as a jury member at major international competitions and is the chairwoman of the association A travers la flute. She organizes educational exchanges, masterclasses, flute festivals and the prestigious International Flute Competition Maxence Larrieu-Nice.

The Intensive Course is limited to six participants for flute and six participants for piccolo.
Scholarships will be available for students aged between 15 and 24, who can clearly demonstrate that they have significant musical potential but cannot afford fees to attend the International Flute Seminar Bruges 2026.
The scholarship covers the total course fee including lodging and food.

IFSB offers the summer course 2026 to a prize winner of the Dutch International Flute Competition.
